More About Nicole.

I can't remove your pain, but I can walk alongside you through it.

I’m Nicole Hunka, a licensed counselor in the Denver area, and I’m so glad you’re here!

I’m passionate about supporting teens, young adults, and individuals of all ages on their healing journeys. I specialize in helping clients navigate grief, relational anxiety, trauma, perfectionism, self-doubt, low self-esteem, and the pressures that can hold them back from living fully and freely.

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and deeply personal. I draw from evidence-based approaches like Brainspotting, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help you explore what’s beneath the surface and uncover the deeper roots of your struggles. At the heart of my work is helping you rebuild trust with yourself—so you can move toward greater peace, emotional regulation, and self-nurturance.

Outside of therapy, I find balance through creativity and rest—whether that’s reading (I'm always chasing my Goodreads goal), writing poetry, painting mountain landscapes, playing with my two cats, or enjoying a good game of pickleball with my husband.
